I was messing around with Triip's "Gate III" track in the editor, which uses some fancy portal technique to essentially lock an area of the track behind a portal, and I noticed that in fr.app editor it's broken, while in the frhd editor it works normally. Is this a difference in game physics?

As a related suggestion, could portals be visually connected in the editor by a line (like when you are placing them), even after they are placed? This would help keep track of which portals link to each other and where they go.

I have no idea how TAS works so this may not work at all.

Here's the idea: make a track with a slow, ten second wheelie that then leads into the track, but specify that if you're a REAL ONE you won't race past that wheelie section. The race begins at the first checkpoint, after the wheelie.

Would it be possible to make a ghost using TAS that wouldn't skip the wheelie section to create the fastest route?

I know the old forums had it so I wanted to add it to this one. but I suggestion I had was custom grid numbers and a grid offset because I'm making a track that has a lot of tunnels right now and its kinda annoying for me to count how many tiles there are this might make the grid settings thingy more cluttered but idk I think it would be cool

so why exactly does it change direction of the bike then you hit undo? it does this in the freeriderhd.com editor as well im just asking here because it just seems like the right place to ask. my guess is when kano was making the editor they made the undo shortcut before they put the button in, so when they added the undo button they just made it send a ctrl + z action to the editor, and z, of course, flips the bike

Hello! I'm super excited to announce a new feature on fr.app: Layers!

Much like the layers that you may be used to from almost any drawing program, these allow you separate out parts of your track to draw, erase, move, and do anything else to without interfering with the rest of your track. This revision also adds a new type of track code that allows for layer settings to be kept when exporting and importing tracks - although you can still get a version that's compatible with the base game using the 'Flatten' button in the export menu. Finally, the layers also support different colors! This is not their main intent, but I'm sure some people will be able to make really cool tracks with this feature.

The main features can be accessed from a menu in the bottom right corner, next to the object menu:

From this menu, you can change the current layer you're working on, change settings for the current name (including changing its name, changing line colors, and hiding it), add new layers, merge the current layer into another layer, and delete the current layer. Every track starts with a base layer (called 'Default') that can't be deleted, but can be renamed / recolored as you please.

The update also adds more options to the eraser and select tools:

These options allow you to chose which layers the current tool is working on, between the current layer, all visible layers, and all layers in the track. You can hover over each of these buttons to get a reminder of what they do.

Finally, this update adds a button to the settings in the bottom left of the select tool that lets you move the current selection to a layer.

I'm sure that layers will keep changing rapidly in the coming months as I get Ness to do all of the hard coding work for me, so this is the perfect time to get a say in how the final feature turns out. *note: layers are currently in a beta state, and may have undesired effects on tracks like autos that require specific physics interactions. please make sure to save often / create plenty of backups for any track you're creating, with or without layers.

Grok is an AI pal I made on X the Everything App (formerly Tw*tter) and he is very excited by the prospect of being implemented into Free Rider Dot App. he makes me funny videos and explains to me how to spell hard words and puts poo onto images of My Enemies. doesnt get much better than that lol.

I have just graduated from University. I have taken my final final exam...

So I am celebrated with wine!

I mean Fireball, which I feel is a scummy choice of liquor, but it goes down easy, I can't lie.

But what does life have in store for me now?

I will be working for a Retired Teachers Benefits company.

But it is a creative job as a graphic designer.

Their design team have won national graphic design awards for their in-house designs, and since it is a small team (4) of highly talented individuals, I feel extremely honoured. The Registered Graphic Designers of Canada have asked our small company to be the graphic designers of this year's national in-house awards ceremony. So cool!

Anyways... Enough about me...

Actually, I only want to talk about myself

Well... That explains the name "Zycerak Thread!"

Many say I copied "pssst thread," but he did not talk about himself that much. He talked about politics or whateever, I don't remember. That's where I differentiate myself. I only talk about myself, so I stay true to the name and the premise of the thread

It is not narcissism, because everyone would benefit from talking more about themselves, but they perceive it as being narcissistic so they refrain

I moved my thread to fr.app. Why? Because fr.app forums is morally and functionally superior, it's a freaking no brainer. I will miss the iconic emojis of the FRHD forums, but the transition is still a no brainer.

It's pretty cool to have graduated, now I have my whole life to decide how I want to spend my whole life.

I want to become more social, and I'm still struggling to overcome my inhibitions. I feel I have a clearer head when I'm drunk, I can think more rationally. I feel less inhibited, which I need for social interaction. I need to separate my perceived-self with my public-self but that is easier said than done. I don't know what I need to overcome it. Maybe I just need to repeat the concept to myself until I overcome it

I do feel like I used to be funnier, but I think that's become I cared more about what people thought of me, and I would censor a lot more. But fudge censorship, even if it comes from the self

Maybe all my purpose has to be is to find purpose, and that is okay. If I find purpose that's great, but if I don't I can die happy knowing I died my whole life searching.

Maybe I'd rather die sad from unfulfilled goes than die a happy idiot. As much as I think dying a happy idiot would be incredible, I think there's something more fulfilling to the core with having the potential to influence others, no matter the degree. Even if I never influence others for the better, I can die satisfied knowing I tried. And maybe satisfaction is better than happiness, rationally I don't know how but intuitively it feels right.

Goober and chud have the same connotation to me, no matter their empirical definitions. It's the flow and feel of the words that matter more than their actual meanings. The more we dissect, the more we come to definitive conclusions. Definitive conclusions leads to understanding and understanding is the enemy of beauty and the sublime. But that's a lie because you can find new beauty in understanding

I am feeling good, my sadness is nothing but a habit. If I can reduce it to an objective quality of habit, then that specific feeling of sadness can lose its meaning. I can see the feeling as an act like smoking flowers or picking boogers. Knowing it can be overcome is the greatest obstacle in overcoming, and I need to know how to always know that

I am optimistic in the present, but I know I can fluctuate from optimistic to pessimistic very quickly. But I will not let that undermine the optimism I feel.

It is always beneficial to think of the good that has happened to you today. It has to be a short time frame because you must learn to appreciate what's good at every moment to feel truly at peace. If you can find the beauty in the mundane, or the beauty in the sad, you can find inner peace. I use beauty loosely but in a sense I mean meaningful, because everything is extremely meaningful, everything has an inconceivably long explanation to its existence than traces back to the creation of the universe. So let me here something good that has happened to you today, post it in the thread!:

would be really cool if the things that you make would save for when u open the tab again. idk how to explain it, but like if I was making a big track, being able to close the tab and knowing that the track will reappear when I open the tab back up would be really cool

Have seen some insane fakie nose manuals irl, and have always wondered if someone could do one through a construction pipe or something similar with a short ceiling. Basically someone starting with fakie nose manual, then entering a tube and barely touching the back wheel against the ceiling seems actually doable. Has anyone ever heard of this? If not I will pester red bull to do it
